Taliban burying needles infected with HIV with bombs

The Taliban have found a novel way to fight and spread terror. They are burying needles, which are infected with HIV, in an apparent bid to infect the troops. There are reports that the Taliban have buried the hypodermic syringes in the bombs and other explosive devices and the needles are so strategically placed that the tip of the needle is protruding. This is done purposely, so that when the bomb squad hunts for the explosive devices, then they get a prick when they touch the surface of the bomb. And in case the bomb squad fails, and the bomb detonates then the needle is not wasted at all, as it then takes on the form of a shrapnel, which can also cause immense harm, as they are light-weight and can reach far off distances and then infect people. The British ex-Army officer Patrick Mercer discovered this method. “Are there no depths to which these people will stoop? This is the definition of a dirty war,” Mercer said. And currently it is being used in the Afghan regions of Helmand. Besides needles there are also reports that razor blades are also being used to cause bodily harm. As a result the Royal Engineer and Royal Logistic Corps bomb search teams personnel have been given Kevlar gloves.
