An Afghan civilian turned in a large cache of 82 mm mortar rounds to a Provincial Reconstruction Team in Qala-ye-Now, Herat province yesterday. The final count of rounds is 87.
Since Oct. 1, 2009 more than 150 Afghans have received cash rewards for turning in weapons or for providing tips leading to the recovery of weapons.
